Morning Fog

I have been wanting to get some good fog photos for a long time, but I have never gotten a good chance (at least a chance that I felt like getting out to take photos!)

This morning was the exception. I finally got up early enough and got out in the woods to take some photos of fog in the woods. Check them out:

Grand Teton Mountains Faux-HDR

I stumbled across a tutorial for how to make HDR photos from a single image today, and I saw a reference to Topaz Adjust and this is what I came up with, here is the original photo:

More Flowers

Well I finally got around to taking some photos today. It is pretty cold and windy outside, so my fiance has all her flowers inside, so I was able to get some pretty good shots (at least I think!) Check them out:

Dove Photos….Or not….

Well I was really hoping to have some nice photos of a Mourning Dove to show you today, but it didn’t quite work out the way I had planned…

B&W Shots

Today I was in the mood for some B&W shots. I wanted to shoot something with a creepy/eerie feeling, so I went to a few cemeteries. I got  a few good shots of some really old tombstones, one dating back to 1895.

Flower Photos

Today I took a few photos of some flowers my fiance has downstairs. I was just messing around with the Macro mode on my 70-300mm lens. I had to sit halfway across the room, and use a tripod to get the camera to be steady enough. But I got some pretty cool shots, the only bad thing was I forgot to reset the ISO speed, and I had it on 1600, so a lot of the images had some pretty serious noise issues, but I cleaned them up a bit in photoshop.

Stock Photography for Beginners

0166 300x225 Stock Photography for Beginners

A little eye candy.

It is hard to sell your photos as stock easily, you have to learn what people are looking for, and what editors like to accept. If your images are desirable, of good quality, and large enough to be useful for different applications, you can make some pretty decent dough selling them as stock photos.
